A total of approximately 54 Lakh patents were published in China in the year 2023 (01 January 2023 – 31 December 2023) out of which around 38 Lakh patents were granted, according to findings by Insights;Gate.
Leading the way is Baidu with 48,336 published patents in China. Rheem Competitors was 2nd, at 21,614 and State Grid Corp of China stood 3rd with 16470 published patents.
Other top 10 China patentees include: Huawei, Tencent, Gree Electric and Sinopec among others.
On a country-by-country basis, Chinese companies received the most patents, followed by companies based in USA, Japan, and South Korea.
