How to read the company list
Not every company here is building a complete humanoid robot. Some appear because a subsidiary, research team or enabling technology business is patenting something important to the humanoid stack such as actuation, manipulation, perception, AI or human-robot interaction. This is why robotics specialists can appear alongside automotive, electronics and technology companies. For R&D and IP teams, the Technology Focus column is often as useful as the rank itself: it shows where each company is building its position and where future technical or IP overlap may emerge. A small number of entries reflect financing or IP-holding activity rather than direct in-house robotics development and should be interpreted accordingly.
